MILLENNIAL PARENTS RESEARCH PROJECT
For: McCann New YorkSUMMARY:
Fellow strategy intern Emily Mogami and I were tasked with uncovering insights about millennial parents that could be of potential use to the McCann New York strategy team. We spent 2 months conducting both primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research.
Once research was finished, we delivered a 30 minute presentation to the strategy department and McCann NY CEO.
An abbreviated version of the final presentation deck is featured here (short preview above).
LEARNINGS:
- Use relatable points of reference. When presenting, use references and examples your audience will find relatable to increase engagement and understanding.
- Research, ideate, and research some more. Don’t wait until after all your research is complete to summarize findings. Instead, identify budding trends/themes during preliminary research, then let these ideas guide the rest of your research so that the final presentation is well substantiated.
- Simplify as much as possible for check-ins. When showing work during check-ins with superiors, make sure it is as polished and easy to follow as possible. Avoid showing incomplete ideas and asking for help finishing them. Showing 1-3 alternative ideas is better.
